One of Farringdon’s most prized duos unite for an 8 hour marathon performance. For almost the entirety of our 20-year history, Craig Richards and Ricardo Villalobos have defined the sound of Saturday nights and Sunday mornings within our space, regularly linking up for early morning back-to-back sessions traversing through electronic music’s most notable moments. Since the early years of his career Villalobos has never compromised on his artistic vision, frequently inspiring us with his psychedelic minimal compositions and sonic Room One journeys. He joins Richards, our founding resident and musical innovator. This May, the pair unite for an 8 hour session combining the best of both theirs and our musical worlds. Joining them in Room One is Voigtmann, the London-based digger who’s become one of our staple artists. As a producer and label owner, Voigtmann is known for his pursuit of mind-bending, minimal-headed techno - a sound he champions on his imprint, Subsequent. As a DJ, he has a similar approach, seeking out the kind of deep, introspective oddities that are perfectly suited to Room One’s Martin Audio Pro rig.
Jane Fitz goes all night long in Room Three. In recent years, the London selector has brought her record collection to every corner of the globe, but her dedication to the craft of DJing dates back to the mid-90s. Over the course of two decades she’s honed a hypnotic DJ style borrowing from untouched corners of deep house and techno, a sound she famously presents every year at the revered Welsh electronic festival, Freerotation. Having spent the majority of her life living in London, her clandestine Night Moves rave has garnered reputation as one of the capital’s best small parties, where extended sets in front of small dancefloors are typically the norm. For her next date with us, we invite her to spend the entire night in the kind of intimate spot she thrives in.
