Hailing from a small town in Vermont isn’t something you’d expect to discover when you first listen to Vakkuum’s music. His take on the raw techno sound is something you'd expect from an artist who grew up going to parties in Detroit or Berlin. The talented producer has already managed to get the attention and playtime from some of the leaders in the underground club circuit (Danny Daze, Dixon, Amê, Tiga, Marcel Dettmann, and Dense & Pika) With his latest EP ‘Speaker Sounds’ on Turbo Recordings already being well received amongst the electronic hierarchy the only way Vakkuum can go is up.
Vakkuum has done official remixes for the likes of Tiga, Duke Dumont, Clouds, and VONDA7. His Duke Dumont remix was performed live at Coachella in 2015. Tiga quoted his "Woke" remix his favorite of the release. Vakkuum's latest remix for VONDA7 was listed in Magnetic Magazine's "The 15 Best Techno Tracks of January 2019."
