- Rave Litany is a new event series which looks to showcase the most forward-thinking musicians dabling with ‘rave revivalist’ sounds. We're here to bring some of the euphoria and inhibition back to raving that can so clearly be seen in old VHS footage from the 90s. Nodding near the back of the dancefloor and staring at your phone isn’t banned (as such) but advised against. Expect a hardcore sermon of breakbeats, trance, rave, jungle and more. Rave n. any gathering of people centered around listening to and dancing to electronic music, as played by a set of live djs. Originated in 1989 in the UK as underground, often illegal gatherings in abandoned warehouses. Often characterized by the positive, psychedelic atmosphere. Litany n. part of a church service in which the priest says a set group of words and the people reply, also using a set group of words.
