Guest hosts Incognito DJ AJ KWAME, Bristolian vinyl damager BOCA 45 + Tru Skool Beats head KEITH LAWRENCE unleashing pure dancefloor direct sonic beasts and beats alongside one of London's finest exponents of The New Orleans Funk Sound. Following in the footsteps of modern New Orleans funk bands such as Galactic and Trombone Shorty, and drawing inspiration from Mardi Gras Indians and classic outfits such as James Brown, The Meters and Rebirth Brass Band, The Big Smoke Family have dedicated themselves to the funky sounds of New Orleans with a unique blend of horns, street beats, scratching and original compositions.
Electrifying performers and with credits that include Dr. John, Maceo Parker, Zigaboo, Courtney Pine and Joss Stone the BSF are some of the UK’s funkiest musicians.
They can regularly be seen playing their residency at Ronnie Scott’s and The Magic Garden or at clubs like, Pizza Express LIVE, Hootanany and at Festivals like LJF, Bestival and Ealing blues. Having witnessed them Live at the SLST in 2018, believe us when we say that best of times await + we truly can't wait to welcome them back to The South London Soul Train Live stage.

The South London Soul Train 4 Floor Line up completed in The RYE WAX BASEMENT by REACH UP DISCO WONDERLAND DJ ANDY SMITH, NICK HALKES + CRISSY KYBOSH dropping 80’s boogie, soul, funk, disco and proto house, evoking the spirit and dipping into the soundtrack of legendary NYC clubs such as 'Paradise Garage’ & 'Studio 54’. A night highlighting the sounds that emerged as the 70’s, turned into the 80’s and the DNA of club music as we know it today was being written. Damn!
The South London Soul Train (as always) All floors, will be taking, all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.
However - Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one's for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
