- ‘My aim remains the same every week: I come in, blow your party the fuck up, and then break out.’ Derrick Carter’s sets are rooted in House, but he freely travels outside club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school Disco, Soul, Jazz and whatever catches his fancy. The Chicago legend has been exercising his love of all disco on very select occasions in the past and this will be a rare opportunity to see him indulging this streak. Expect classic cuts, rare grooves and just a downright offensively fun time as he digs deep into his extensive record collection. --------------------- A pioneer of Chicago house music and arguably one of the greatest DJs of all time, Derrick Carter makes the XOYO booth his home every Saturday in May as he becomes the latest Pleasurehood resident, alongside a slew of very special guests. - Admission to XOYO is at management's discretion, advance tickets do not guarantee entry.
