Dar Disku is a London via Bahrain label releasing disco, funk and psych from the Middle East. 'Dar-Disku' comes from the 1970s Egyptian pop culture magazine of the same name and directly translates into 'home of the disco'.
Since launching in late 2018, they have toured across the world and played shows across the world in Istanbul, Dublin, Dubai, Bahrain, Bombay, Lisbon, London, Paris, and New York. They have shared stages alongside Habibi Funk, Nabihah Iqbal, Awesome Tapes from Africa, and more.
Their first release “Dar Disku 001” and live shows have received critical acclaim from the likes of Resident Advisor, Clash, Vice, I-D and BBC Radio. They duo are regulars on NTS, BBC (for Nabihah Iqbal), Netil, Le Mellotron (Paris), and have a residency on noods radio in Bristol.
