East Village and Don't Panic are proud to present Scott Grooves one of Detroit's finest producers. Scott was inspired to make house music by Jeff Mills' legendary The Wizard radio shows and nights out at The Music Institute. It was there that he met Kevin Saunderson, leading to the release of his debut 12" on KMS and a stint playing keyboards for Saunderson's Inner City. The rest is history…his debut ‘A New Day’ on Soma takes you on a journey to Detroit and back. The mix was championed by The Slam Boys and Sub Club’s Harri, next up a collaboration with Roy Ayres on ‘Expansions’ , debut album ‘Pieces of A Dream’ famously featured ‘Mothership Reconnection’ which came with a blessing from George Clinton, remixed by Daft Punk, Slam and Funk D’Void... it reached chart success!
Since then, Scott Grooves has been focusing on his own deep brand of Detroit house and currently releasing hot material for several labels including his own, played alongside Omar-S at Fabric and now on 20th November Grooves will be gracing East Village for Star Spangled our new monthly event featuring the finest DJs from America - it's gonna be BIG !
