Lu Yang (Shanghai, China)
Lu Yang is a Shanghai-based multimedia artist who creates fantastical, often morbid and shocking visions of death, sexuality (or a-sexuality), mental illness, and neurological constructs of both real lifeforms and deities. Deeply immersed in the subcultures of anime, video games, and sci-fi, Lu Yang’s output spans 3D-animated films, video game-like installations, holograms, neon, VR and even software manipulation, often with overt Japanese manga and anime references. Music — electronic and always frenzied — features prominently. Her works involve frequent collaborations with performers, designers, experimental composers, robot companies, and idol stars. Lu Yang has been featured in important solo and group exhibitions at venues such as the UCCA (Beijing), Centre Pompidou (Paris), M woods museum (Beijing), Spiral (Tokyo), Chronus Art Center (Shanghai), Momentum (Berlin), MOCA Cleveland USA (Cleveland), and Tampa Museum of Art (Tampa). She has also participated numerous Biennials such as: Shanghai Biennial 2018 & 2012, Athens Biennale 2018, Liverpool Biennial 2016, Montreal International Digital Art Biennial 2016, 56th Venice Biennial China Pavilion 2015, and Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2014.
DEBONAIR (London)
DEBONAIR is a DJ, radio host and one of London's most open-eared selectors who draws upon her formidable knowledge of underground music past and present to redefine dancefloors across the world via her exhilarating, shape-shifting DJ sets. Her biweekly residency for NTS (she was the station's programme director in its formative days) shows the full breadth of her voracious, genre-scrambling musical appetite and regularly features acclaimed guests ranging from Holly Herndon to DJ Bone to Yaeji. Her club sets extend this philosophy, lacing strands of avant-garde electronics, rave, EBM, no-wave, proto-techno, tripped-out house, post-punk and more into innovative yet cohesive bodies of sound, which crescendo into pure vitalizing energy during her renowned peak-time sets.
DJ Fulltono (Osaka, Japan)
DJ Fulltono is a DJ/ producerbased in Osaka, Japan, and he also runs a record label"Booty Tune". While rooted in juke and footwork, hisrepertoire spans over ghettotech, electro, Chicago houseand beyond. He pursues his own way of weaving them alltogether with the sensibilities of techno mixing style andthe skills he has developed over decades of experienceplaying out in clubs. He has contributed an officialpromotional Japan-only label mix CDs for Planet Mu andHyperdub in the past. His 2014 release on his own imprint”My mind beats vol.1” EPwas licensed to Orange Milk inthe United States, and was later selected one of the “20Best EDM and Electronic Albums of 2015” by Rolling Stonemagazine. In 2016. he was invited to play Poland’srenowned Unsound festival, and also to the US for anextended tour which included ”Low End Theory" in LA andrealized his dream of playing in Chicago. and so on..And hisaim in his life playing in Chicago was achieved. Fulltono’strack was included in Burial & Kode9’s exclusive mix forMary Anne Hobbs on BBC 6 Music last year, and he just had his latest “Before The Storm” EP released on dBridge’s EXITRecords.
Jana Rush (Chicago, US)
Chicago born and raised, Jana Rush started DJing at the tender age of ten. She started producing just three years later, influenced by DJ Deeon, with whom she released with on Dance Mania in 1996. After taking a break from music, Rush re-entered the scene with 2016's MPC 7635 EP, released on Objects Ltd., receiving attention for her mind-bending drum acrobatics. She then kicked off Objects Limited’s 2017 year with her debut release, Pariah, an album rooted in Chicago's footwork sound but with a myriad of other influences, including as jungle, acid, soul, jazz, and house.
