Sunday Lovers rejoice! Spain is in the house - actually, on the roof. Forbidden Colours imprint founder and Bilbao artist El_Txef_A brings his organic and uplifting signature sound to Flash with Spain-based DJ/producer and Glitter Cowboy label founder, TÂCHES. Artist Tilman from Mainz, Germany joins for an eclectic mix of international tunes.

EL_TXEF_A:
El_Txef_A is the mysterious guise of the musician and composer Aitor Etxebarria. As El_Txef_A, Aitor has released two LPs Slow Dancing in a Burning Room (2012) and We Walked Home Together (2014) as well as several EP’s in collaboration with artists such as The Black Madonna and Sebastian Mullaert.
The Bilbao based artist regularly plays the finest underground clubs around the world and has also performed some impressively unique one off shows, including the Sónar Festival with his own ensemble and a Boiler Room set in Tulum, Mexico.
TÂCHES:
Shirtless and shoeless, TÂCHES sits cross-legged in the dirt gently taking in his mountain surroundings. It’s clear that he’s deep in thought as he mindfully traces the shape of a fallen leaf in his hand and a slight smile gently spreads across his face. There’s a tangible
feeling of love and fascination communicated through the way he looks at the world around him and it’s precisely this holistic approach to creativity that makes him such a captivating artist. This is the makeup of a being that finds passion and inspiration anywhere he looks.
Contradictorily, he is as much a devotee to tradition as he is a breaker of rules. TÂCHES is uninterested in following trends, and instead seeks to provoke the senses through a deeply personal examination of culture and cliche. Conceptual without ever being pretentious, his music shows a deep rooted appreciation for the textures of the times
passed and faraway places. There’s a certain urgency to capture the world as he perceives it; albeit a world seen through the rose tinted lenses of a creature forever romantically entangled with his surroundings.
There’s no one way to sum up TÂCHES’s music, as it’s perpetually in growth, bending and swaying like a tree in the wind. This sonic metamorphosis is due to a primal need to experiment coupled with a deep longing to express the continually transforming experience of being human. Drawing heavily from emotion and memory, there’s a clear sense of nostalgia in all that he creates. His pure and unabashed desire to combine the things that he loves manifests itself as rich and evocative dance music with massive personality and palpable global flavours.
TÂCHES’s desire to build upon the world in which his music exists led to the creation of his label GLITTER COWBOY - the peculiar home for the sonic documentation of his journey. When you listen to GLITTER COWBOY, you are nakedly experiencing life through the eyes of TÂCHES as he seeks to embody self-awareness and optimism, along with finding inner peace through nature, artistic expression and simplicity of living.
TILMAN:
Tilman is a DJ, producer and label owner based in Mainz, Germany. After running the Klamauk label for quite a while already in a successful way he also takes care of Fine, the label he runs with Johannes Albert.
Tilman is positive all the way, not just regards his music, but as well as a person. Coming from the hip hop background, making his way through house, soul, disco and funk he now is where he is. Displaying a huge variety of sounds and styles. Always been a part of the Rhein-Main club scene Tilman played an essential role in having his own club nights as well as gigs all over Europe and North America. As a child, he enjoyed drum and piano lessons, which helped him a lot to get a good sense of rhythm, melodies, and harmonies.
In the last years he started producing music, mostly using his favorite synths, drum machines and samples to release House Music not only on his own imprints, but also on Faces Records, Tenderpark, Quality Vibe, Needs to name a few. You can say, that 2018 was a positive turning point in his career. After the success of his “Love EP“ on Fine and “In My Mind EP“ on Faces the word has spread and so he is travelling a lot as a DJ now. He seems to run on more powerful batteries than the rest of us, so take a listen to his adventure through dance music, new and old on many podcast mixes for Ninja Tune, Sloth Boogie, Rinse FM or LA based Far Away. Right now he is working on his first album, coming out end of the year on Fine. Stay tuned!
