- Are you ready to party like a rock star??! Big Fish Little Fish is proud to present dance music heavyweights BEXTA & PEEWEE FERRIS in this super stellar double header rave for the whole family! One of Australia’s most influential DJ and producer, Peewee Ferris, has been instrumental in the Australian and international dance movement for well over fifteen years. Peewee has headlines all major Australian dance events, including Big Day Out Festivals (96, 97, 2000, 2004, 2009 & 2010), Future Music Festival, Two Tribes, Summadayze, Mobile Home, Utopia Events, Chemical Brothers Australian Tour, Ministry of Sound, Transmission, God’s Kitchen, Gatecrasher, Slinky and Cream Tours. BeXta’s career has been a unique and integral contribution to Australian dance music history. Starting in 1993, BeXta played her first live show to 3000 people in Brisbane. She soon moved to Sydney initially signing with Sony and following, with Central Station Records, and her own label Mixology Digital. BeXta has released to date almost 2 dozen singles including the popular Make It Phunkee, the Skirmish Live EP, two albums - "Conversations with ones and zeroes", which hit No8 in the ARIA Indy album charts, and "The Essential BeXta Collection" (2012), 12 Mixology compilations and other compilations including Central Energy, and "Hard Electrik" with Scott Attrill internationally (2011). BeXta has also remixed many hard dance artists from around the world like Lisa Lashes and Kidd Kaos, and also remixed Vanessa Amarossi, ACDC, Icehouse, Yakooza and Chicane. www.mixcloud.com/bextamixology/ What can you expect? Quality tunes: house/rave/trance/old skool/classics. Multi-sensory dancefloor, bubbles, glitter cannons, giant balloons and parachute dance finale. Licensed bar, free transfers and glowsticks. Kids craft tables with giant mural and themed crafts. Face painting stall. Snacks & hot food available in bistro. Toddler play area with tents and tunnels and baby chillout space with mats and baby activities. Child safe themed performances from Fire Performance - Sydney! Dressing up in your best 'rock star & pop star' costume is optional but highly encouraged! Parents remain responsible for their children at all times. Who should come? For families with younger children (8s and under) though all ages are welcome. Adults are not admitted unless accompanied by a child. A max of 3 children per adult. If there are more than 4 adults per child in your group please email [email protected] for pre-approval before buying tickets. Tickets Tickets are non-refundable but can be transferred/sold on to waiting lists. Each adult (17+) and child (1-16) in your group must have a ticket. Pre-walking infants are free and do not require a ticket at this venue. Yep, it's a rave :) Please be aware that events are standing/dancing with some seating, club lighting rigs (no strobes) are used and events are busy with around 5-600 people at each party - which helps create the rave ambience. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. Volume is set at a safe level for children and carefully monitored throughout the event. We may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering you are giving your permission for these to be used for BFLF promotion purposes.
