Campfire Convention presents The Little Chill, a three-day festival in the Sussex countryside that will get back to the roots of the seminal Big Chill festival with many Big Chill favourites performing.
The Little Chill is a fundraiser for Campfire Convention, a member-led social network, free of advertising and algorithms, which also aims to promote a sense of community through real life meet-ups and events. It plans to play a part in social change, helping to create a fairer society and empowering its members - providing a spark for collaboration and co-creativity.
Campfire founder Pete Lawrence also co-founded the iconic Big Chill festival, which provided a rural setting for the innovators emerging from the chill out rooms of early '90s raves.
The likes of Coldcut, Global Communication, Nightmares on Wax, Mixmaster Morris, Autechre and 4 Hero were there at the beginning. Later the Big Chill gave early exposure to household names such as Lily Allen, Goldfrapp, Amy Winehouse, Zero 7, and Röyksopp.
The Little Chill will revive the early spirit of the Big Chill with no more than 499 lucky punters enjoying the beats and melodies of some of the scene's enduring legends.
