We're super excited to have undisputed DISCO ROYALTY in Jocelyn Brown headline this special occasion LIVE! Born in the 1950's Jocelyn witnessed the birth of Disco, Funk and Soul music first hand. Infamous for her global hits 'Somebody Else's Guy' and 'Loves Gonna Get You' released in 1984/5, but also as a hugely influential vocalist who features heavily on records and labels including Chic, Cerrone, Inner Life, Musique and Salsoul.
Also headlining is Lonely C, 1/2 of Soul Clap! One half od the undisputed party starters, creating incredible records since 2001 and seamlessly blending the boundaries between Nu-Disco, House, Disco, Jazz, Funk. Pop, Soul, R&B, Electro and more. They joined forces with Wolf + Lamb and Double Standard to form the creative melting pot that is Crew Love, devoted to music that challenges the mind, moves the heart, and sways the hips! Lonely C knows what Love is and will bring the heat!
Support comes from previous guest Al Kent of Million Dollar Disco, a modern day Disco pioneer also known as Glasgow's answer to Disco royalty Walter Gibbons! In the Pickle Factory All Night Long we have a very special trio representing JAW Family in London's DJ RED GREG, France's Waxist and USA's Gospel Guru Tone B. Nimble! During an 8 Hour marathon set, these guys will be digging deep for the finest Boogie, Soul, Edits, Gospel, Rare Groove and Disco records... Good friends Jive Talk, Lucid Stannard, Bamily, Moses and the Funky Fever Fam complete the bill with those classic Disco jams!
In terms of ticketing - we really recommend buying advance tickets for this event to guarantee entry. All of our previous London events have sold out in advance and we expect this one to also. If your plans chance and you can no longer attend, you’ll can resell your tickets via the Resident Advisor Re-sale Network and retrieve that hard earned $$$ back.
