■ BROKEN ENGLISH CLUB ■ With Broken English Club, London-born DJ and producer Oliver Ho, delivers monotone vocals over a synthesis of live instrumentation, dark synths, and hypnotic beats. The project, founded in 2012, has deep roots in no/wave, and post-punk sounds and evolves from Ho’s earlier brutalist releases for Ruskin’s Blueprint label. Ho, who has been releasing music for the last 20 years, is undeniably one of the most important players in the history of British techno.
■ THOMAS HESSLER ■ Thomas Hessler’s energetic techno embodies that of classic Berlin and Detroit sound. Born and raised in East Germany, Hessler began spinning at small underground clubs in Berlin and has since brought intensive techno journeys to venues across Europe and South and North America including Fabric, Berghain, and Tresor. His releases for labels like Bassiani and Crossing and Intimate Silence have received critical acclaim.
■ FADEFACE [Live] ■ New York based, FadeFace is an Industrial/Experimental Techno DJ that focuses on the live improvisational aspect of modular synthesis in a Eurorack format. In May, 2018 he released the EP Donations are appreciated, which includes 4 reverberating deep techno tracks with ambient influences.
