  • Make no mistake about it, what was once an underground genre built on the UK rave scene morphing with the US garage/soulful house sound, UK Garage still has the influence over British music today that it has enjoyed for the last 10 years. From its early forms in 1994 and its impact on seminal UK artists like Dizzee Rascal, Wiley, and The Streets it has achieved success in both the mainstream and the underground. Despite its relatively short explosion as a scene that dominated clubs, it has gone to create or influence: 2step, Speed Garage, Dubstep, Bassline, Grime, UK Funky and not to mention loads more outside of the Garage spectrum. After a stonking education in UKG rhythms with Zed Bias last September we’re back for another true schooling from another certified don, the almighty Wookie. Real name Jason Chue, the renowned producer and remixer is widely regarded as one of the most influential founding fathers of UK Garage. He began his musical career releasing classics such as “Scrappy”, “Down On Me” and “Storm” through his own label ManChu Recordings. For this date Foundations team up with 23 Degrees for a party that is not to be missed.
