It's been 5 years since we started Future Classic so we thought it might be time to celebrate that little milestone.
Since opening up shop we've worked with many of our favourite international artists - from the cream of the current disco crop Aeroplane, Holy Ghost!, Mock & Toof, Idjut Boys, Todd Terje and Woolfy; to the deepest European house and techno with Ame, Isolée, Solomun, Luomo, Jimpster, Trickski and the Becks Berlin Sessions events; soul from Fat Freddy's Drop, Jazzanova, Alice Russell and Rainer Trüby; as well as an unerring commitment to local talent with recent releases by Jamie Lloyd, Sidwho?, Arithmatix!, Loin Brothers, Deepchild and Peret Mako to name a few.
In addition to our aural activity, the last few years have seen our inhouse design studio going from strength to strength... in addition to all the vinyl sleeves, event artwork and the Future Classic Review annual zine, the studio continues to create award-winning work for a variety of clients in the arts, hospitality and book publishing worlds.
So come and join us as we celebrate 5 Years with all of the local crew and our two very special international guests Henrik Schwarz and Château Flight across both main floors of the Civic and its laneway.
