Rinzen is known worldwide through his awe-inspiring progressive house and melodic techno releases on Mau5trap, but is achieving local notoriety though his involvement with @Desert Hearts Black, the new dark techno sub-label that recently launched under the San Diego based party society we all know and love. His 6AM set on the first morning of the last Desert Hearts was one of the highlights of the gathering as he breathed new life into the morning. We couldn't be more excited to better welcome him into our community!
Memo Rex is one of the mainstays of the San Diego underground scene but one destined for bigger things as he continues to impress people further and further away from home. His set at the most recent Genius Loci had people crying tears of joy, as the man entertains like no other. Combining beautiful house and techno grooves with live vocals and a penchant for interacting with the crowd, Memo is one of the artists you must get to know before he takes off into space!
Supporting these two are a trio of The Afternoon Umbrella Friends resident DJs, who carry on big responsibilities on top of selecting tunes. Those are Collette, one of the AUF's sound and recording engineers, Barrera, who facilitates bookings, contracts, and event coordination, and TrippyPants, the woman behind the event decor. They'll be bringing a diverse range of musical styles and are sure to get your feet warmed up in preparation for the night.
