Creatively adept at utilising both vinyl and digital formats, Jay Hill’s DJ sets see her captivating audiences with a fusion of soulful emotion and hypnotic grooves as she masterfully moves between genres and styles. She is equally at home driving dancers to a frenzy under the giant mirror ball at Cielo (NYC), or uplifting a sun-drenched crowd on the Balearic Islands. Walk into a warehouse in Berlin and you could find Jay spinning the finest darkroom Techno.

Jay Hill is, undoubtedly, a future star of the ever inventive and evolving underground House and Techno scene. Having packed up her world in 2011 and headed east from her childhood home beside California’s Pacific Ocean, this exceptionally talented DJ/Producer has patiently studied and perfected her chosen art in the Big Apple and is now based in her own studio in Philadelphia. Driven by her innate ability to create and play beautiful, soul rising music, she has never looked back.
The soulful city’s chilled vibes and down-to-earth attitude now form the perfect backdrop for Jay Hill’s creativity. 2017 saw her debut 12" vinyl release, ‘Runaway Bob’, on NYC’s Local Raider imprint. She brilliantly combined Techno and Acid House on ‘Falls The Shadow’ (Static Music) and explored more experimental dancefloor territory on ‘The King’ / ‘The Lion & The Lamb’ (FM Elle). Meanwhile, her highly hypnotic ‘Beckoning E.P’ (Induction Muzic) soared up to the top of Beatport’s Deep House Chart.
For people with open minds and open ears, electronic music doesn’t really have borders - blurring any perceived boundaries between House and Techno is a given - and Jay Hill is one of the new breed of cutting-edge artists who breathe life into their productions with true emotion. Juxtapose her recent deep and acidy Techno release ‘Lil Dirty Girl’ with vocalist Harry Collier (Faithless) saw her debut release on the infamous, Mr. C’s Superfreq Records.
2019 is already looking to be a massive year for Jay with her second release on Superfreq called ’ Mercurial’ with Glasgow’s Arctor. Not to mention her collaboration with South African slam poet. The Lazarusman called ‘I Am Here’ will be coming out on Lee Foss and Jamie Jones’, Emerald City imprint.
