A 24-hour concert “SBP4 24h WHAT?” featuring the band Samoe Bolshoe Prostoe
Chislo and artists invited by them will be held at the art venue Richter on 31 August as part of RED BULL MUSIC FESTIVAL MOSCOW 2019.
Samoe Bolshoe Prostoe Chislo (The Biggest Prime Number) are renowned for their immersive concerts that make the audience temporarily forget about their immediate reality, but this will be unprecedented even by their standards. As part of the festival, they will organize “SBP4 24h WHAT?” – a psychedelic adventure that promises to transform the Richter estate into a portal to the parallel universe of SBP4.
The core of this experience will be a round the clock concert in 12 parts in which the band will perform their entire repertoire – from the very first releases that appeared in 2007 to new, yet to be released songs that no one has heard before – and try their hand at all musical genres. In this quest the troupe, led by Kirill Ivanov, will be assisted by 12 special guests, each joining the group on stage for a 2 hour block. The guest artists include the cofounder of the group Ilya Baramia, violin virtuoso Boris Andrianov, singer Naadia and even an African choir.
But there will be more to the experience than simply a 24-hour concert. SBP4’s show will be at the crossroads of a musical show and an art-performance, in the vein of Russian avant-garde musical experiments by Sergey Kuryokhin. SBP4 will take over the entire estate and transform it into an interactive space together with director Oleg Gushkov. There will be spontaneous events in different locations in the estate filled with objects from the group’s history that the audience is invited to be a part of, including a laser rave, the premier of 2-hour long video clip shot over three years in different locations around the world from Australia to Norway and a special show featuring actress Roza Khayrullina.
The 24-hour concert of SBP4 at Richter will be held in 12 sessions of 2 hours each. Tickets to each session will be sold separately with only a limited number of tickets.
