ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: BMG
As founder of cult label Interdimensional Transmissions, central figure in Ectomorph, and legendary DJ and live act under his name, BMG’s 25 year musical vision and near encyclopedic musical knowledge have led him to be, in our estimation, one of the key figures and visionaries in contemporary dance music. His parties (most famously but not limited to No Way Back) are the greatest contemporary manifestation of the Detroit party continuum that reaches back to the parties of Plastikman, the Music Institute, Voom, and beyond.
A master weaver of true psychedelic musical tapestry, BMG has a way of making the strange familiar and the familiar strange. Expect the unexpected.
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Jarvi aka Acid Daddy
Acid Daddy’s musical education spans their metro Detroit origins to their adopted home of Chicago, a lineage of jacking sounds that shine through their DJ sets. After rocketing a hot afternoon at Diane’s Hunting Club into the stratosphere, we knew we had to get them behind the decks again as soon as possible. As a member of the now infamous party crew Naughty Bad Fun Collective, organizer of both the recurring Haus of Diesel party and the dieselcast podcast, and of course party rocking DJ under both Acid Daddy and their name Jarvi, Acid Daddy has rapidly become a central figure in the Chicago underground on all sides of the decks.
ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: mm!sha
Mm!sha has been not-so-quietly rocking the most subterranean dancefloors from Belgrade to Chicago for nearly 20 years now. As a recurring DJ at our parties for nearly a decade, we have seen mm!sha rock all manner of dancefloor, from opening duties at possibly our most debauched Halloween party ever to mid-morning (literal) garage sessions, mm!sha is a deft and sensitive party rocker whose vast crates have something for every occasion.
While deeply rooted in old-school, multi-deck techno mixing, mm!sha’s style reaches out to all manner of dance music (and beyond) to create experiences at once cerebral and jacking, linear and circuitous, always taking you to destinations unknown.
