話題の新興レーベルAnimals Dancingを率いるメルボルン代表のデュオOtologicが9月6日に開催されるvendor presents ON THE FLOORに登場！中目黒の人気のセレクトショップが仕掛ける人気のパーティーに、Tornado Wallaceなどとも親交の深い気鋭のデュオが初登場！
Otologicほどメルボルンに根付いた活動をしているデュオもなかなかいないだろう。地元でレジデンシーパーティーを行いながら、自身のレーベルAnimals Dancingを運営し、国際的なアーティストの作品をリリースしてきた。地元ではレジェンド・アーティストのオープニングを務めたり、ロンドンのNTSラジオでは毎月自分たちのレギュラー番組を放送しているなか、国際的にツアーも行っている。Otologicはメルボルンのシーンのカルトな存在なのだ。
そして今回Otologic迎えるパーティーON THE FLOORは、アパレルを中心に雑貨やガジェット、そして音楽や本までを扱う中目黒の人気のセレクトショップvendarが2007年にスタートし、過去にはTheo ParrishやLord Echo、Tornado Wallaceを招聘してきた。ROOM1にはGonno、Yoshinori HayashiそしてAnimals DancingからAndee Frostも登場する。ON THE FLOORのブッキングのセンスには定評があり、3度目の来日となるOtologicのプレイに期待が高まる！
Tornado Wallace, Suzanne Kraft, Johnny Nash - these are some of the releases through Animals Dancing that have been catching the attention of underground listeners across the globe. Now the Animal Dancing crew will performing at Nakameguro select shop Vendor's party, only at VENT!
Melbourne duo, Otologic, who chair the hot, up-and-coming Animals Dancing label will be performing at "Vendor presents On the Floor", at VENT on September 6th! The very popular select shop in the Nakameguro neighborhood are throwing a party featuring this duo who are very close friends with Tornado Wallace and other artists.
There aren't too many duos that are as active within the Melbourne scene as Otologic. While holding local residency parties, they also operate the Animals Dancing label, releasing works by internationally acclaimed artists. Not only do they perform as openers for legendary artists when they do local gigs and tour internationally, Otologic also do a monthly radio gig on London's NTS Radio. Otologic have reached cult status in their local Melbourne scene.
The On the Floor party, at which Otologic will be performing, was kicked of back in 2007 by the very popular select shop, Vendor, located in Nakameguro. They mainly deal with apparel, but also handle a wide assortment of goods, including gadgets, music, and books. In the past, they've invited big acts like Theo Parrish, Lord Echo, and Tornado Wallace. In Room 1, Gonno, Yoshinori Hayashi, and Andee Frost of Animals Dancing will be performing. On the Floor have a good reputation for only booking dope acts, so expect an epic show by Otologic, who will be marking this gig as their third performance in Japan! Don't miss it!
