7-11 Musical Discoveries presents a Friday nite special with Childsplay associate and Moot Tapes founder Peter Lawlor aka Polytunnel.
Racking up support from Mixmag, XLR8R, Inverted Audio and DJ Mag and with recent mixes for Rinse FM and Four Four Magazine, this is not one to miss.
We first came across Peter's stellar time 2 time EP not long ago and recognised a producer on track to great hyperstellar things. Digging a little further, we found a steady body of work and accolades spanning Polytunnel as well as former alias Replete, alongside releases under his own name.
time 2 time has been turning heads since it's release on Childsplay, from both press and peers (No Moon recently opened his Boiler Room set with a track off it). As curator of MOOT Tapes alongside artist Stephen Morton, Peter has shown a penchant for weird and wonderful sounds and a clearly defined aesthetic, and the label is actively contributing to the current cassette tape revival.
We decided to bring him over from his new home in Glasgow to share his electro infused sound and life energy with us and we're throwing it down for free in the basement of The Four Quarters in Peckham on Friday the 30th of August.
Joining in the warmup are friends of 7-11 SDXN, Dragos, Meltem Yazar, Amerza, Drastic Shuffle and your host Mihai Badic.
