Astral Industries (UK label)
2014년 설립된 영국의 엠비언트 레이블 Astral Industries (이하 AI)는 최근 몇 년간 세계적으로 존경받는 엠비언트 아티스트들의 계몽적이고 진지한 작품들을 지속적으로 발매하고 있다. AI는 이전의 클래식을 계승함으로써, 새로운 것들을 향해 천천히 발전해 나아가고 있다 .
2014년 덥-테크노의 전설적인 인물 DeepChord의 앨범을 발매한 이후, 2015년 Wolfgang Voigt의 라이브 프로젝트인 ‘Rückverzauberung’의 2015 런던 라이브 실황 앨범을 발매하였고, 2016년에는 오래전 해체된 네덜란드의 일렉트로닉 그룹 Chi의 1985년도에 녹음된 시대를 초월한 작품 - ‘The Original Recordings’를 재발매 하였으며, 같은 해 Peter Michael Hamel의 클래식 앨범 ‘Colors of Time’를 DeepChord와 Wolfgang Voigt의 콜라보레이션으로 재해석한 앨범이 발매되었다. 2017년에는 Kim Cascone로 알려진 Heavenly Music Corporation의 LP, Chi Factory의 LP앨범 두 장, 그리고 Waveform Transmission (DeepChord의 Rod Modell와 Chris Troy의 듀오 프로젝트)의 신작이 1996년 이후 무려 20년만에 AI에 의해 발매되었다.
또한, Theo Ellsworth의 작품으로 만들어지고 있는 AI의 놀라운 아트웍들은 강력한 릴리즈들을 기록하며 발전해 나가는 AI의 작품들에 그 가치를 더하며 완성된 Music-Package들을 선보이고 있다.
ARIO (Astral Industries / London)

Since 2014, UK-based label, Astral Industries have been responsible for some of the most enlightening and entertaining releases of recent years. Their output has helped otherwise forgotten or out of print music see the light of day, provided new takes on previous classics, whilst also pushing forward new music by some of the most well-respected artists within the ambient genre.
Debuting with a release by dub-techno legend DeepChord in 2014, Astral Industries went on to release Wolfgang Voigt's live project, Rückverzauberung Live In London in 2015. In 2016 they followed with a 1985 recording from disbanded dutch collective Chi - a timeless and undoubtedly classic record, whilst in the same year pitching Wolfgang and Deepchord together for the very first time, with reinterpretations of Peter Michael Hamel's classic, Colors of Time. By then, and combined with the continually brilliant artwork of Theo Ellsworth, we knew that Astral Industries was a label with staying-power, and a growing catalog of releases worth collecting - be it just for the framed artwork, or moreover, the complete music package.
In 2017, we've seen an LP by Heavenly Music Corporation, aka Kim Cascone (likely encouraged by the recent re-release of his own label Silent Records), a third LP by The Chi Factory, and then just last month a beautiful album by Waveform Transmission (Rod Modell of DeepChord and Chris Troy), with a sublime follow-up album, a massive 20 years after their first.
The man behind the Astral Industries machine, Ario is a proven expert at plucking obscure gems from the past, or ensuring that good music gets the platform and artistic presentation it deserves. In just a few years, Ario has curated a highly respected and anticipated label roster that demands attention, and has yet to disappoint. The music is always gentle, deep and often extremely vivid, be it deeply hypnotic ambient, or gentle murmurs of dub-techno.
With origins linking back to Iran, London-based Ario is a practitioner of deep and inquisitive music – both as a DJ and label curator. Although his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music, his overall aesthetic draws on a broader spectrum that prizes the synthesis of both instrumental and electronic disciplines. Depending on context, he traverses the lines and forms between ambient and heavier, club-ready styles. What is common in both worlds, however, is his alchemic handling of rich organicism mixed with darker, more austere sounds. Speaking with an emotive sensitivity, there is a certain self-awareness that permeates his crafted soundscapes, which are as much drone-inspired as they are psychedelic and nature-driven.
Mysteries of the Deep (New York lable, podcast series)
뉴욕을 중심으로 레코드 레이블, 팟캐스트, 그리고 이벤트 시리즈의 형태로 나타나고 있는 ‘미스테리스 오브 더 딥 (Mysteries of the Deep)’은 앰비언트, 실험음악을 중심적으로 소개하는 플렛폼으로 잘 알려져 있다.
2012년 시작되어 현재까지 이어지고 있는 팟캐스트 시리즈는 세계적인 일렉트로닉/실험음악 아티스트들의 가장 딥하고 진보적인 세트들을 기록해 나가고 있다.
2018년부터는 동명의 레코드 레이블로써 진화하며 현재까지 6장의 12인치 바이닐을 발매해오고 있으며, 미국 뉴욕을 중심으로 이벤트 시리즈들 또한 진행해오고 있다.

Hems is a London-based producer and record collector, well known by his intricate selections of ambient and techno. He likes to present forward-thinking sounds showcasing his love for sound design, whilst also giving a nod to past influences. Hems occasionally plays live at London-based showcases and is also behind the Camera Obscura party in London which consistently promotes underground dance music in an intimate setting.
