Hidden Agenda are delighted to welcome two of the the world's most revered selectors to District 8 for the first time this November. Daphni & Floating Points play a very rare headline show in Dublin & their first ever set together on these shores.
At the forefront of dance music in all its forms for the better part of 20 years, Daphni and Floating Points have done it all. From collaborations with such esteemed artists as Four Tet, Jamie XX and Radiohead as well as releasing everything from jazz to garage and disco edits, these two artists are genuine icons of modern music.
Performing their biggest club show to date, we are beyond excited to have Daphni and Floating Points take us on an aural journey spanning their immense collection of records. Leave your expectations at the door, as this will be a truly unique experience.
Support on the night comes from one of Dublin's finest deejays, Cáit. A regular feature on the Irish festival circuit and the more intimate parties of Dublin, it's a pleasure to invite Cáit to warm things up for this particular show. With Cáit, it's hard to pin down her DJing to a single genre or style. Her selections are sentimental and unique, while always forward thinking; blurring the lines between past and present in exciting ways.
The opportunity to put on shows like this don't come along too often, so it's a real pleasure when they do. Floating Points said in an interview "If something's worth doing, it's worth doing properly" and this mantra is exhibited expertly whenever either of these two get the needles on the wax. This is a very special show for us, and we hope for you too.
