Here at LS:MIX we couldn’t be happier to announce the Leeds debut of London based party starter FOLD! Rob Glassett, better known as FOLD, showcases a particular strand of dance music that draws on deep house, disco, techno, broken beat, hip hop, and jungle in order to create a sleek, clever sound that has an undeniable UK edge. A seasoned DJ with a style aimed straight at the dance floor, he is a resident at NTS and is known for his back-to-back sets with long time friend Joy Orbison.
FOLD has released music on Aus Music, Shall Not Fade, Tighten Up Records, Electric Minds, ManMakeMusic, On Loop, and has recently launched his own imprint, Well Street Records. We’ve been waiting a long time to bring his sound to Leeds and come October we’re certain it will have been worth the wait!
As if that wasn’t enough we’re also joined by Swales, the rising Manchester talent that has been going from strength to strength with releases on Polydor, 13th Hour Records & Another Rhythm to name just a few. He’s regular in cities across the UK and more recently plied his trade at a headline event out in LA. A versatile selector with a love of classic house & 90’s cuts, but the ability to take his sets in any direction. We can’t wait to hear what Swales pulls out for us for our birthday bash.
As usual we’ll have our residents Edëff, Fried & Swamps warming things up and closing things down. Tickets will be starting at just £6 so grab one while you can!
