JAMES HARCOURT BIOGRAPHY http://www.myspace.com/jamesharcourt James Harcourt is a UK producer and DJ with a truly global profile. With a growing following at home and abroad, James and his Twisted Frequency labels have been gathering momentum since taking off in late 2005. His tracks & remixes featuring the sets of many of A-list DJ's and he has won the admiration and explicit praise of Dave Seaman, Hernán Cattáneo, Ian Ossia, Nic Fanciulli, Sébastien Léger and Fergie among others. His tracks have been placed onto an impressive list of CD compilation placements, including Erick Morillo's Subliminal Winter Sessions, Hernán Cattáneo's Renaissance Sequential series & Dave Seaman's "This is Audiotherapy" comp, Hook'n'Sling's Chew The Fat! CD and the legendary Pure Pacha collection in 2008 - true testimony to the global dancefloor appeal of the music. James 2006 summer release "Loud & Low" was voted best new single by Fergie on Radio 1 - and he was invited to interview for the One-To-One feature on the same show. 2007 saw single releases for Spin Out, Baroque, Bug Eyed and of course his own labels. His remix of "Music People" for Mokilok was featured on Seb Fontaine's Radio 1 Essential Mix along with his globally celebrated collaborative track "Schadenfreude" with Udaye Rana. In 2008, James stepped up a notch and the "Call & Response" E.P. hit the #3 spot on Beatport.com and has sold over 10,000 downloads to date making it one of the higher selling tracks on the famous dance music portal. Legendary trance label Bonzai also just released James' acclaimed remake of Push "Universal Nation", becoming one of the most hotly anticipated tracks of 2008, featuring on James Zabeila's Radio 1 Essential Mix, picked up for the Cream Future Trance series and being caned by all the best DJ's in the world - as well as receiving the rare and priceless endorsement of M.I.K.E himself (Push). 2009 has seen more Beatport top 100 action with James' remix of Tyrrell's "LaLaLaLaLaLa" and Nick Hook's "Enhanced", the floor rocking "Proton" plus remixes for Underwater Records, Audiotherapy and Tribal Vision and more time on the DJ schedule! ???????????????????????????????????????????????? SHANE WATCHA http://www.myspace.com/shanewatcha From spinning Acid House to a small club in South Africa aged 20, to playing alongside house music’s greatest legends at London’s best clubs. A regular in Europe from Paris to Moscow, Shane's lust for house music has seen him slug his record bags around Europe, touring the world over while continuing to hold down his London residency for both Circo Loco & Zombie Soundsystem & keeping a steady flow of record releases. Since humble beginnings in his home town of Durban, Shane has gone on to be a regular at London top clubs, playing Glastonbury to warehouse raves in East London. From playing DC10 opening party for CIRCO LOCO & to the main stage @ TDK festival alongside Sasha, BookaShade ,Loco Dice & James Holden. The quality of Shane’s sets have seen him playing alongside legends like Frankie Knuckles, Todd Terry, Marshall Jefferson, Derrick Carter and Boy George to present day heroes like Mathew Jonson, Ewan Pearson, Steve Bug, Loco Dice, Booka Shade, Claude Von Stroke, Marc Houle, Konrad Black, Matthew Dear, Ralph Lawson, James Holden & Mr C. Shane also hosts the very popular ZOMBIES ATE MY BRAIN parties that were also hosted alongside Jaded on Sunday mornings at The End. (RIP) On the production front – Toolroom records have been quick to sign Shane’s first release, with his next release signed to Tim Sheridan’s VeryVeryWrongIndeed label. Rewind a bit. The story starts in 1992 when Shane decides to leave South Africa for London inspired by the wave of dance music emerging in the late 80’s and embrace the music that has he been listening to. He then starts up his own club night… ZOMBIES ATE MY BRAIN , which enjoys a devoted following, and quickly came to the attention of London’s top clubs and acted as the ideal platform for him to carve a reputation that would lead him onto the international stage. Soon Shane turned his attention oversees. His sense of wanderlust first saw him making forays to Moscow, then mainland Europe, the Far East (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia) then Australia and New Zealand plus USA. Being inspired by the tribal sounds of Danny Tenaglia and intensity of Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox sets, Shane is always focused on the party - his techno sets have a tougher edge while his lighter & more minimal side has seen him rock dancefloors worldwide. He is a firm believer in the concept of the global dance floor, so come Saturday night, you're just as likely to find him popping up in Europe, USA, and Asia as you are in London. All in all, not a bad result for someone who started DJing at 20 in that tiny club in South Africa. DJ MAG: “There is something cool & cultish about Shane’s ability to switch from mild mannered human into rabid techno, minimal house fiend!” One of DJ Mags four hottest names in dance music – July 2007
