Ropotamo CO, in collaboration with ‘’KvARTal Festival Vol. 4’’, have the pleasure to welcome Niklas Wandt (DE) for a DJ night dance of very special selections.
As a company live warm up, Puma & The Dolphin a.k.a. Nikko from 1000 Names will initiate us through our first shaky steps on rhythm and its magic
>> Niklas Wandt (Berlin, Germany) is a drummer/percussionist, producer and DJ living in Berlin. Originally from a diverse self-taught background of Free Jazz, Rap and Psychedelic Rock and matured at Düsseldorf's Salon des Amateurs, he pushed more and more into electronic territory. Main live collaborations at the moment are Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt (Growing Bin Records) and Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge (Themes For Great Cities).
The latter just released their acclaimed EP “Leben” in March, January saw Niklas with the “Wismut” EP alongside Sascha Funke on Multi Culti. More releases lined up in the next months include a remix EP of Wolf Müller & Niklas Wandt, a solo percussion heavy EP and collaborative efforts with Cass., Alek Lee and Kris Baha.
A Niklas Wandt DJ set reflects his diversity of interests with as little care for genre and imposed boundaries as possible. Fringe dance musics from percussion and library records, spiritual jazz, Balearic pop, pumping Wave and Industrial, far out Tribal House and Kosmisch synth excursions dubbed and blended in a natural flow. Don’t expect dead-serious four-to-the-floor. Stretches of hypnotic repetition easily detour and resolve into mildly goofy moments to make you smile.

Just imagine these worlds exist on our planet unaware of each other. Mixing the both paths you step into 4th - 5th dimensions. P&D’s music will be slow, hypnotic, shamanistic.. Raw and primitive, distant satellites voices for the third eye dancers.
