**THE RAVE**
gobstomp launches this October, embarking on an odyssey beyond measure and contemplation. Join us under the stars in this open-air world-reimagined where time, obligation, pain, and power dissolves and disintegrates.
We welcome international icons Violet (Portugal, Naive) and Photonz (Portugal, Dark Entries) to the decks, spinning you obliviously into an intergalactic existential heaven. Before our headliners take the wheel, we have the beautifully talented locals who are Banque (Dialogue Records, Cop Presence), Blair de Milo (Features: Young Franco, Donatachi, ANH), and Liminal Grace getting you strapped in, well-fed, and hydrated.
**THE MUSIC**
In her home city Lisbon, Violet is co-founder of online radio station Rádio Quântica and also resident at mina – a queer rave in unexpected venues. This work permeates Violet’s work as an artist, as she thoughtfully expresses the political history of dance music through her voice and her music.
Violet incorporates similar sounds from her production process into her DJing, melding breaks, extraterrestrial jacking rhythms, imaginative techno, acid house and more in a way that feels natural and challenging all at once.
Photonz is the main musical alias of Marco Rodrigues - a portuguese DJ and producer that has in recent years become a driving force for Lisbon's much talked about underground scene. For little over a decade now he's been crafting his own, deeply personal style of eerie yet potent machine funk. As a DJ, Photonz grew a reputation for deep crates and intensely euphoric sets informed by his admiration of early Rave.
