The project Mutant Beat Dance is under the umbrella of Nation - the project is led by Traxx and involving B.Wanzer and J. Letkiewicz. Mutant Beat Dance's debut album on Rush Hourtakes the wild and free sound of Chicago’s Music Box era into the 21st Century. Active since the early 2000s, Traxx has released music under multiple alias's including Dirty Criminals, XX Art, Mysterio, ViLLan X, Saturn V(with Tadd Mullinix), X2, and more. He is also the founder of Nation, a Chicago record label known for releasing limited edition presses of innovative dance music.
Over the years Traxx has released music on various underground labels in the US and Europe, notably including Gigolo, Relief, Muzique, M/O/S, and Crème.
