- Europe’s latest hype machine SRVD (Patrick Mason & Radio Slave) and Detroit turntablist and Underground Resistance legend, Mark Flash make their way to Melbourne Music Week. SRVD live is set to explode on stage with their signature club slammers like ‘Elevate’ and ‘The Yard Man’. Radio Slave bring sample-based music which veers from drawn out disco-not-disco delirium to evocative, under-stated soundscapes. Mark Flash fuses Latin soul and house into his own variety of techno funk as he switches from live drum pads to his 808 drum machine, all the while keeping the audience moving to a groove that could only originate from the birthplace of Motown, Detroit. Local legend, Miss Farina is a dynamite behind the decks, motivating dance floors to shake , rattle and roll, while support comes from ex-dancer and effortlessly larger than life artist Salvador Darling and Melbourne DJ Acid Safari who is a permanent fixture at Melbourne’s most notorious clubs.
