On Saturday 27th May, Classic is back at The End. Their long standing residency has become the stuff of legend, with some of the biggest names in house music gracing the decks over the last 6 years. This month’s installment brings another sensational line-up that can be summed up in one word: Classic.
Label bosses Derrick Carter and Luke Solomon will be returning to their familiar position in front of The End’s main room crowd. Legends in their own time, these two deck-wizards will be providing the very best in transatlantic cutting-edge house music, the quality of which is rare in 2006. Joining them in the main room will be Radio Slave, the internationally sought-after remixer and producer who has been behind some of the most high profile re-workings of the last few years. His unblemished reputation has been built on remixes of such music luminaries as Sir Elton John, Gwen Stefani and unforgettably, his genius rework of Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’. Expect seriously danceable funk-fuelled beats, and of course, some exclusive re-edits!
In the lounge, expect more house music mayhem from Classic mainstay Rob Mello, Parisian legend D’Julz and the ever-impressive Chris Duckenfield. They will be churning out their own unique blends of house from across the spectrum, expect a shaking a dance floor and a smiling crowd!
Upstairs in AKA, the decks will be manned by one of the most well respected names in international house music. Roy Davis Jnr will be flying in from the States for an exclusive four hour set! Roy’s deep and soulful house music has been lauded the world over. His beautiful, melodious dance music is enough to make anyone shake a leg, so expect a bubbling vibe and a packed dance floor!
