  • LWE presents Junction 2 Festival Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June 2022 Trent Park, London 12:00 - 22:00 (last entry 18.00) 18+ Tickets: https://junction2.london/festival With its rolling hills and leafy surroundings, the idyllic backdrop of Trent Park, North London gives the Junction 2 team the opportunity to bring the magic of the festival to this vast, open space on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June 2022. This includes the introduction of six brand new stage concepts to support the outstanding lineup, as we debut The Arches, The Stealth, The Observatory, The Tunnel, The Dome and The Speaker’s Corner at this very special, one-off event. SATURDAY 18TH JUNE 2022: The Arches is somewhat of a live hub on Saturday 18th June, with performances from some of the most eloquent artists in the electronic music hemisphere. Behemoth acts like starry producer Jon Hopkins, science-laced Max Cooper and melodic master Ben Böhmer, line-up alongside each other in an unprecedented first. These are further bolstered by live sets from their peers, the mesmerising George FitzGerald, synth-fiend Rival Consoles and experimental Latin musician Ela Minus. Completing this stage are two talented women DJs in the form of Willow and Ceri. The Stealth follows in similarly assured stature, leading with revered names such as electronica wizard Four Tet, J2 favourite and 2022 weekend star Maceo Plex, genre-spanning three-piece Hessle Audio and London’s leading lady of the moment, TSHA. This eclectic stage full of firepower sees support come from Yu Su and Carlota Marques. The Observatory is hosted by Love Unlimited and comes equipped by some of the most respected diggers and icons in the business. Another firm J2 favourite, Dixon is one such marquee name. The Innervisions’ supremo is joined by the always evocative Maribou State DJ, New Zealand pairing Chaos In the CBD, Scottish techno siren Eclair Fifi, world music ambassador Esa and rising star Effy, rounding off what is one of the most eclectic stages of music in our history. London’s premier record store, Phonica are on host duties for The Tunnel. The wax specialists invite Californian selector Avalon Emerson, in addition to her highly-qualified peers Romy, Peach, Binh and Tasker. Meanwhile, at the top of the bill, post-Dubstep electronic duo Mount Kimbie will treat audiences to a DJ set guaranteed to weave a journey through underground dance music. The Dome underlines the fact there is no such thing as an undercard when it comes to J2. Imposing Munich stalwarts the Zenker Brothers prop up another talent-packed stage, that also sees Canadian-Australian alliance D. Tiffany and Roza Terenzi hook-up for an exclusive b2b set, Parisian entertainer Bambounou, deep-rooted Birmingham DJ Jossy Mitsu and hot newcomer Tasha all star. SUNDAY 19TH JUNE 2022: The following day, with the bar already set high, Trent Park bursts back into life with the second day of our 2022 festival programme. Maceo Plex switches to The Arches for his next appearance of the weekend, lending heavyweight support to Klockwork’s techno top boy Ben Klock and Italian duo Mind Against. Adiel and Anii offer sounds across the techno palette, while serious credentials come in the form of Detroit pioneer Robert Hood, who plays live. Synonymous with J2 since the festival’s inception, our friends at Drumcode look after business on The Stealth. Of course, that means festival ambassador Adam Beyer is involved by default, leading the line as lieutenant. He invites two of the biggest international DJs on the modern circuit, in Amelie Lens and ANNA, as well as the label’s ever-reliable Joel Mull. British techno double-act Dense & Pika play live, in addition to another legendary Detroit artist in Kevin Sanderson, who performs under his revived E-Dancer moniker. The Observatory notches up the tempo into the adrenaline-fueled, white knuckle territory. Firstly with Trip boss Nina Kraviz, before FJAAK, Dr Rubinstein and DMX Krew each add their own variety of fast-paced electronic music to proceedings. London-based duo Frankel & Harper step-up to the plate, earning their biggest J2 set to date to open the day. If that isn’t quite fast enough for you, things get pushed further into the red on our next stage. Uncompromising, sheet-metal music comes courtesy of Dax J, Blawan, 999999999 live, Benjamin Damage, Anastian Kristensen and Theo Nasa, on a stage that won’t be for the faint hearted. Check your blood pressure before entering The Tunnel. Speed is replaced by groove, as Half Baked take over The Dome with one of the most well-crafted festival stages to be found in London this summer. Margaret Dygas, Fumiya Tanaka, Traumer, Omar and Sam Bangura b2b Robin Odell will be providing deep, rolling and impossible to identify records in their own inimitable style. Lastly, across both days, Junction 2 presents The Speaker’s Corner, a space for artist led conversations exploring electronic music culture. Take a seat and join us as we explore the stories of the artists and collectives on this year’s lineup… straight from the horse’s mouth. Grab a beer courtesy of Asahi, and prepare to get up close and personal. As Junction 2 continues to stamp down a sonic vision with authority, the 2022 festival line-up is that statement of intent. Combined with the production, operational and core values that our attendees have come to expect, this all underlines Junction 2’s position as London’s premier electronic music festival. After a 3 year hiatus, we look forward to getting back to what Junction 2 does best… ----------- MORE INFO: www.junction2.london facebook.com/Junction2London twitter.com/junction_2 instagram.com/junction_2 18+ No ID.
