L I V E S E T S LOSSY: Solo Sax Set Lossy, aka Sam Sharp, is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Hackney, London. As a session and touring musician he has worked with Hackney Colliery Band, Introducing Live (DJ Shadow Project), Phil Selway (Radiohead), Beverley Knight, Ben Taylor and Lou Rhodes (Lamb), along with remixes and collaborations with the likes of Augustines, Laura Mvula, Greymatter, Stephen Crowe, Rite Of Bass and Roska. In addition to his new label Boot Cycle Audio, his work has been signed and released by Tru Thoughts, Tessier Ashpool and Two Rivers Records and his music is regularly played on the TV and radio. His most recent EPs have varied in style from the soulful electro of Gated Soul EP, through the live looping techno leanings of Microverse to the minimal synth offering River Solos EP. Always at the forefront of technology, the Lossy stage rig combines innovative controllers, live electronics, traditional instruments and looping gear to enable him to improvise and compose on the fly. Recent evidence can be found in the form of his sold out shows with poet Hollie McNish, live collaboration with visual artist Strangers Are People Too and performances recreating DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing album with Introducing Live at Koko and other venues around the UK. This night sees him showcasing some new material featuring solo saxophone and electronics. lossylossylossy.com twitter.com/lossylossylossy facebook.com/lossylossylossy lossylossylossy.bandcamp.com GLITCHGIRL Glitchgirl is punk and rave but punk and rave are not just music. Glitchgirl is an audiovisual swarm operating at freak frequencies, performing antagonistic insurgencies on genre. She is broader than any classification whether they be musical, artistic, historical, geopolitical. Glitchgirl rewinds and remixes cultures into an immense immersive matrix of sound. She sidelines planning for cunning manufacturing bass tendencies that blurs boundaries and brings in unheard sounds from futures. Glitchgirl tunnels and undermines notions of what music is, cutting and abstracting noise to manufacture various immediacies. She is vertigo freefall at mac speeds where instruments plummet into lines of noise that coil as performative loops, back tracking and feeding off sonic freedoms. Glitchgirl is a machinic and digital cyberfuture. cloaklabel.bandcamp.com/track/glitchgirl-descent open.spotify.com/artist/44hxO7pNn4kHI0DkakiYAC ECHASKECH Echaskech are a London based electronic AV act drawing on numerous influences ranging across techno, acid, IDM, classical and drum and bass.
