- This multi-stage, mobile protest party for pill testing meets at the Town Hall at 2pm, and leaves soon after. Dance In Defiance is being organised in response to the Coronial inquest into festival deaths. The Coroner has recommended pill testing at festivals and the end to the Government’s invasive sniffer dog strip search program. Festival season has arrived - and we need these changes now to avoid the worst of last summer! But instead of listening to the experts, key government ministers have chosen to ignore the inquest’s recommendations. They’d rather see more kids die than admit their war on drugs is a disaster. That's why we're taking to the streets again to dance in defiance and demand: - Pill testing now! - And an end to the invasive sniffer dog and strip search program We deserve a vibrant culture, not to be criminalised for having of fun. We deserve to party safely, free from harassment and intimidation. This is a protest and a DIY street party, but more importantly it’s a celebration of what our public life should be. Bring the noise and splash the colour: RECLAIM THE STREETS!
