We welcome a host of leading talents helping to shape the minimal-inclined end of today’s house and techno sphere. Landing for one of their engrossing live performances, Farringdon regulars DeWalta & Shannon return. Both artists have spent more than a decade honing their own styles of minimal techno, with DeWalta pushing his own jazzy take on the genre, and Mike Shannon championing a glitchy style via his two imprints, Haunt and Cynosure. The pair have collaborated a number of times on record, and in their live performances, their spooky sound worlds merge. Expect a groovy session fusing modular synths and live saxophones focussed on their peerless back catalogues. We also invite two killer artists who are currently operating at the heart of Berlin’s minimal scene, John Dimas and Digby. John Dimas makes intricate, stripped-back house cuts with a spacey temperament, drawing influence from 90s tech house, electro and UK garage. Over the last decade he’s put out singles on imprints like Raum…musik and Metereze, but his high-precision sound might be best displayed through ‘One Against Time’, his excellent 2018 LP on his Elephant Moon label. We’ve been following Digby since his first release on his FLASH AS A RAT label in 2014, and he’s made his mark as both a DJ and producer since then. In his sets, he typically plays a mix of oddball house, techno and electro, freely moving between style and era with a graceful ease. The bill is rounded off by another deep digger who’s most frequently found spinning at lowkey parties around London, Harry McCanna. The NorthSouth co-founder has been on our radar for some time, and after a string of memorable performances with us in recent months, we’re thrilled to welcome him back once again. Expect a night of subtle house and techno grooves from some of the sound’s very best.
