We welcome two of Norway’s foremost electronic artists, Prins Thomas and DJ Sotofett. Prins Thomas is a master of his own sound. Working in collaboration with Lindstrøm through the mid-2000s, he pioneered a cosmic take on house and disco, releasing three albums for the Belgian label Eskimo. He went on to champion the same style as a solo artist through Full Pupp, one of many influential imprints he oversees and puts out music on. In recent years he’s also formed close ties with the Oslo label Smalltown Supersound, while as a DJ he remains more popular than ever among fans of deep, swirling club sounds. DJ Sotofett also joins for his Farringdon debut. The enigmatic DJ and producer is an electronic music chameleon, known for crafting bewildering house and techno compositions with a temperament for dub, tribal, ambient and any other genre he feels like. He’s put out a number of acclaimed and highly sought-after leftfield house records, mostly through his labels Sex Tags Mania (which he runs with his brother DJ Fett Burger) and Wania. He’s equally renowned for his singular flair behind the decks, where he meanders freely through strange rhythmic and beatless cuts with no limitation of style or genre. This January, he brings his bag of off-kilter records to our space for the first time ever. The bill is completed by our own Bobby., who lands for his first appearance of 2020. The Pleasure Club founder had a huge 2019 with us, rounded off by a memorable weekend at our XX Australia tour at the start of December. He presents his own esoteric approach to house and techno to round off a night of boundary-pushing club music.
