  • Villalobos at fabric is always a momentous occasion, but the surrounding lineup for this one is simply iconic. Joining him are Craig Richards, DJ Stingray, Saoirse, Radioactive Man and A-Future, all going till late into Sunday. What more could you want?
  • Craig Richards brings Collisions back to Farringdon. Our founding resident has long been involved in guiding the musical direction of our space, and at Collisions, he invites some of his closest contemporaries to join him. For his first appearance of 2020, his singular late-night rave sound is matched by an artist with whom he’s shared a long and colourful history: Ricardo Villalobos. Like Richards, the Chilean minimalist has been playing with us for the best part of two decades, and his regular psychedelic voyages with us remain one of the cornerstones of our identity. Beyond his pioneering work as a producer in the minimal house sphere, Villalobos also displays an individualist flair behind the decks, bewildering audiences with his patchwork approach to DJing. The pair’s back-to-back sessions with us are as inspiring as they are mind-bending, and our Room One sound system only complements their strange record picks. Also joining the Room One bill is a London artist we’ve been following closely for a number of years, Saoirse. The Irish-born selector first cut her teeth as a radio DJ on stations like RTE and Rinse FM, but in recent years, her deft selection skills have seen her performing at clubs and festivals around the world. In her record bag, she packs a heady mix of wonky techno, pumping UK house and weird IDM stuff – the perfect round-off to tonight’s Room One bill. Room Two gets a serving in gritty Detroit electro, as DJ Stingray returns. While the style has seen something of a resurgence in recent years, Sherard Ingram has been staunchly championing his machine-driven sound out of the Motor City since the late 80s, where he worked closely with artists like Anthony Shake Shakir, Carl Craig, Kenny Dixon Jr., and Drexciya. The last decade has seen him putting out a string of frantic cuts on labels like [NakedLunch] and Unknown To The Unknown, and recently his cutting DJ sets around Europe have kept him busier than ever. He’s joined by Radioactive Man, an artist who’s been part of our story since the early 2000s. Fresh off the back of his ‘Doors To Manual’ compilation, the UK pioneer brings his acclaimed live set back to our space. We also welcome A-Future, the electro-minded alias of UK artist Adam Shelton. While Shelton’s been playing with us for a number of years, this time he debuts his alternative guise to round off another night of high-calibre electronic music in Farringdon. -- Advance tickets: These are valid all night and give priority entry until 1am.
