Mathew Jonson and Sebastian Mullaert come together in Farringdon for the first time ever. Both artists are renowned for their live performances – Jonson for his explosive techno synthesis, and Mullaert for pushing a similar strain of deep, almost meditative, melody-affected take on the genre. The pair’s likeminded vision of electronic music has led to them working in close partnership in recent years, most notably as part of the group project Circle of Live. Led by Mullaert, the collective is best known for their experimental live jams, where machinery is brought in sync through fully-improvised collaboration. This February, Jonson and Mullaert link up as a pair for an extended live hardware session merging their sound worlds. We’ve also lined another special link-up in Terry Francis and Anna Wall. Our two residents already have a special relationship – as a longstanding Farringdon mainstay and spearhead of the Wiggle sound, Francis had a big influence on Wall’s own London-centric sound. Having already joined forces a couple of times, the pair come to their homebase for a session that will doubtless cross the best in classic and technoid house underlined by their usual elastic groove. Local talent Oliver Moon finally rounds off the bill.
