- Birthdays only come once a year, and the Blkmarket Membership boys are at it again. Last month we saw resident DJ Fahad Haider celebrate his bday in style with the secretsundaze party, this month we celebrate resident DJ Taimur Agha's birthday with a very special cast of characters who have been invited to come and play his 29th. Will Saul is the man behind two very successful record labels, Simple & AUS Music. His sound can be catagorized as deep dubsidscohousetechno with spurts of soul and great melodies. In 2005 Will Saul created Simple records to reflect an open-minded intention to release good futuristic house and techno for the deeper end of the dancefloor. In about 6 years Simple records has had over 50 releases and remixes by top talents such as Jeff Samuel, Gui Boratto, Isolee, Konrad Black, Jimpster, Roman Flugel, Dixon, Martin Landsky, I:Cube and many more. Will's AUS Music label was born in 2006. Teaming up with Ninja Tune's artist Fink on the label, this label focuses more on the experimental side of house, techno, electro, dub and dubstep. Artists like Lee Jones, Runaway, Martyn, Ramadanman, Brun from Swayzak are just a few to release records on the label. Both labels have been in constant rotation in Blkmarket Membership's record bags for quite sometime now and its been a long time coming that we have wanted Will to play for us. His latest Balance 15 3xCD mix just goes to show what a talented DJ Will is and how he incorporates all types of music into the soundtrack for this excellent 3xCD mix set. We highly recommend checking it out as its simply amazing. This event will mark his Balance 15 CD release party as well as his New York Debut. Margaret Dygas is considerably one of the world's leading ladies in techno. Her Contexterrior release 'Day After' in 2007 put her in the spotlight and was followed by 2 well received releases such as 'See You Around' on Tobias's label Non Standard Productions, and 'Invisible Circles' on one of our favorite labels, Perlon. We have been hearing her name for quite sometime now in the DJ circuit and many can speak to say that her sets are truly fantastic. She's a resident at Panorama bar and for this past New Years Eve, she was one of the 3 headlining acts alongside Zip and Ricardo Villalobos at Arma 17 in Moscow, Russia. We are very excited to finally have her play our party. This will mark her U.S Debut and only Exclusive date. Be warned, that she is going to blow your minds...seriously. Matt Tolfrey has been a long time friend of the Blkmarket Membership family, regularly coming to play gigs here with us. If you last remember at our Mariachi party where Tolfrey headlined, he surely rocked the house. Label boss of Leftroom records and the sublabel Leftout, Matt is one of the growing talents to come out of the UK. A frequent guest DJ at Fabric London, Matt is usually asked to play alongside Craig Richards as well as the duo Tyrant. Along with his studio partner Inxec, They both have been signed to Cocoon Recs, Viva Music, Murmur and Phonica record labels just to name a few. He career is on the rise, and just recently for New Years Eve, he was asked to play the Cocoon NYE bash by Cocoon alongside Sven Vath, Cassy, Andre Galluzi, Yousef and Dorian Paic. Not a bad way to kick into 2010! We are really proud to bring Matt Tolfrey back as our special guest for this night. Be also on the look out for his and Dyed Soundorom's new bootleg label coming up entitled Foot & Mouth. Anthony Collins is one of the main artists on the Freak n Chic roster alongside Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky. Anthony gained alot of popularity last time around in NYC for his debut. Despite the main event not being able to happen, it was the 9+ hour DJ set he played that left a mark on all techno fans in this city at the afterhours. We have asked him to come back in just a short time since then and to make up the past main event. He's been on fire recently, having releases on labels such as Vakant, Liebe*Detail, Tuning Spork, Curle Recordings, and Mule Electronic just to name a few. Los Updates had asked him to remix Ricardo Villalobos's new track coming out on their label Nice Cat and we must say that it is massive. He's been cooking up quite a few treats for this party, so be sure to check out his special closing set. The Frenchman is back. Larry Ursini in the words of Halcyon owner Shawn Schwartz, "Normally, you don’t get to walk around in this town, a fresh transplant from Denver sporting pink hair and turquoise striped short-shorts calling yourself “Crazy” without being punched in the face, yet somehow Larry has pulled off just that unlikely feat for a whole year now." If you havent met Larry yet, then nows the time to finally do so. He is one half of the duo Glacier with Pier Bucci on Wagon Repair, as well as the ONLY Live act on the Airdrop records roster. He keeps things fresh with his own sound and is also preparing something special for this party. Crazy we say? I think so! Maher Daniel is the A&R for Sultan & Ned Shepard's Harem label. He hails from the middle east originally and its where we first met him back in the day. Today, he's been part of the talent to come out from Montreal. He has released tracks on Harem, Bedrock, Get Physical and most recently along with studio partner Nadir Agha have been signed to Tiefshwartz's Souvenir Plus label. Their track 'Haute Couture' has been getting frequent plays by artists such as Richie Hawtin and even to Digweed who put it on his recent Transitions broadcast. He will be opening up the event and we are very happy to also have him for his New York Debut. Last but not least are the residents Taimur+Fahad on the lineup. They have had a massive year, bringing in the best of the best to come play their popular party alongside them, right at their very own doorstep. Their motto from Blkmarket Membership's first day has been, 'to bring in talent that inspires us as DJ's.' That motto has stuck strong until today and it's no wonder why their party is the best in the U.S at the moment. Be it opening or closing at their parties for their guests or even playing back2back and at afterhours, Taimur+Fahad have earned the respect from many in the US as well as from their artists that they bring in. They are regarded as some of New York City’s finest DJ’s in this city’s techno circuit.
