ITALOBOYZ are from way back, early 2000s London, when Techno was just called Techno, and rave culture was thriving in the big European cities. Their sound is considered a unique blend of abstract sound design and minimal electronic music, which comes through clearly in their world class productions (see: Mothership; Get Physical). The duo has DJ’d everywhere, including Cyprus many years ago, circling the globe for more than a decade; set after set, party after party.
Representing ITALOBOYZ at the official opening of S//IP, is Federico Marton, bringing with him an iconic London sound; large snares, mechanical cowbells, and tribal rhythms that fill any room with wild party energy. When playing alone, Marton retains a fun, tribal house feel, taking listeners through a cycle of exotic spaces that often resolve in classic, deep synth tracks for maximum feel-good results.
We cannot wait to bring in the new era with a classic party, lead by an artist with so much experience in powering dance-floors.
Daoutis
Daoutis is a DJ who has quietly been growing to an exceptional level of skill and understanding. Operating in and around the area of Deep/Romanian minimal, Daoutis lays down tracks with great precision, blending material in and out effortlessly, and without interruption. Opening the floor tonight, as the first artist to meet the S//IP booth, is a digger with a huge collection, who always knows exactly what to play next.
