Strom Festival – Day 1: Kruder & Dorfmeister, Stefan Goldmann, KiNK, Robert Henke, Voiski .

  • For the first time in its history, the Philharmonie Berlin will host a two-day program of electronic music over the first weekend of February 2020. Curated by Stefan Goldmann, Strom Festival will span three distinct settings: the great concert hall for seated listening and audiovisual performances by the likes of Kruder & Dorfmeister, Ryoji Ikeda and Cristian Vogel, the extensive foyer for dance sets, and the Hermann-Wolff-Saal showing an installation by Robert Henke. The Philharmonie Berlin is one of Germany's leading cultural institutions, an architectural landmark of the German capital and home to the Berliner Philharmoniker, one of the top orchestras of the world. The great hall, designed by architect Hans Scharoun with the stage in its centre and surrounded by seating on all sides offers a unique acoustic setting and has served as a model for modern concert hall layouts around the world. The foyer's jagged multi-level architecture will provide the setting for the festival's dance-centered part, which will be headlined by Siberian techno phenomenon Nina Kraviz and Bulgaria's KiNK, Deena Abdelwahed, Voiski and others.
