At the age of 18 he found his way to the local record stores with a desire to become a musician. Soon realising that music is the driving force behind his intuition, he quickly evolved towards the production side of things. In 2006 he gave birth to his debut EP on Toys For Boys Records. It didn’t take long before it was discovered and launched into the play lists of several DJ’s worldwide. A unique blend of pumping minimal techno with huge influences of old school Chicago and acid house landed him a release on Marco Bailey’s MB Selektions in that same year. The coming years releases kept following on Andre Crom’s Heimatmelodie imprint, Cologne based label Trapez and again Toys For Boys & MB Selektions where his track “Octopussy” moved people on the dance floor all over the globe. His records try to blend in old school drum elements into a subtle environment of new slinky grooves and raving madness. After teaming up in the studio with his friend Gols around 2010, his musical journey took another turn. A series of more house orientated productions resulted in signing on labels as Monique Musique, Kina, Circle Music and Fantastic Friends. The amount of tracks released on such short notice is a silent witness of their flowing enthousiasm behind the machines. By 2011 his list of studio guests had grown so much that these fresh influences lead to the epiphany and birth of his ‘Thrill Recordings’ label. It doesn’t only house his solo productions and remixes, but it also gives local producers a chance to enfold themselves on the label. The sound is broad yet the focus is always put on dirt, rawness and grit. Thrill Recordings provides wide variations and a distinct sound civilized within the borders of House and Techno. In 2012 he was mainly doing productions for Labyrinth music, Monique Musique, and a series of remixes for various labels & Thrill recordings. Opening new perspectives he joined the ‘Sweet Trade’ crew, a bunch of pirates who are well-known for hosting several booming events in Belgium and Europe. Because he’s always looking for a way to channel different emotions, he created a techno moniker called Quake. This project quickly got signed by Belgian’s Coincidence Records, and launched a groundbreaking debut EP with a remix from Marcel Fengler. In order to remove all studio restrictions he decided to pick up the production pace in 2014, with projects like Quake, Noose Brigade and brand new material with Gols. Thrill Recordings forms the perfect hive to experiment and showcase the direction of these various projects. After quite some time without releasing any vinyl, ‘Back In The Daze EP’ ment his comeback on wax for Coincidence Records, brought together with an amazing video. Having a massive amount of unreleased tracks 2015 will definitely highlight more of this guy. 2016 was a year that formed the tipping point in technical knowledge on how to produce on a more professional level. Spending more time in the studio studying audio engineering, he gradually became more skilled in both analog recording and post-production mastering. This self-thought sound engineer was ready to finally form his own music from start to finish. On top of that he was asked to become a resident in one of Belgium`s finest techno clubs; Kompass. What was once a lifelong dream became reality. Now this guy was able to spread his music to an even bigger audience on a monthly basis. His trademark sound was unchanged and most useful to warm up heavy techno events & close down more house oriented evenings with a bang. In 2017 releases are still on a steady pace on imprints like Translucent, Hypnotic Room, together with the rebirth of Thrill Recordings. Combining his output with residencies at Kompass & The Coincidence Rave Cave at Tomorrowland, Tom remains one of the oldschool Belgian DJ`s whose vibes still resonate on a quality level. | Lukas Firtzer https://soundcloud.com/lukasfirtzer He started to produce music early as a hobby but this clearly run out of control when he started to produce Techno under the name Lukas Firtzer just over 3 years ago. You will find out that his tracks are very raw, industrial with a touch of acid. His tracks are getting support of some international artists like A.S.YS, Charlotte Dewitte and also Amelie Lens where he has featured his unreleased track ' Praise The Night ' on her latest mix CD together with FabricLondon. | Herton (Blackwallrecord / ZODIAK ) https://soundcloud.com/herton-be Born in Kinshasa, Herton came to Brussels 11 years ago. He discovered the local scene through The Wood nightclub where he made his debut as a Dj on new years eve 2016. After a few years digging into more alternative genres such as drum and bass, Herton sets his mind on minimal and techno, making those two genres the base of his musical aesthetic. But it all comes to fruition in 2018 when he officially joins the programing team at ZODIAK nightclub in brussels where he also has a residency. During his sets, Herton shares a mix of mysterious moods and balanced patterns, who will projecting you to hip-pop from rock even jazz, while immersing yourself in a captivating atmosphere , that make it very hard to leave the dancefloor and keeps you going until the late morning hours ! TOP FLOOR | Vincent Giumelli (La Vie En Rose Records / ALIBI Records / Presence Booking) https://soundcloud.com/vincent-giumelli Vincent Giumelli is one of the vanguards of deep, underground house in Paris. The widely-respected artist has been immersed in the Paris club scene since the dawn of the Millenium, dedicating his life to electronic music for two decades. An all-rounder whose passion has fueled a long-running career, Vincent is a skilled selector, a talented producer and a tenacious party promoter. Twenty years since he first arrived in Paris, Vincent is reigniting his passion for making music, with several new productions in the pipeline plus a change of location (Madrid) providing a fresh burst of inspiration to his musical endeavours... Born and raised in Tours, a university town to the west of France , Vincent commenced his exploration of music at Tours Conservatory of Classical Music studying trombone. This formal setting gave him many of the skills that form the foundation of his understanding and appreciation of music. As a teenager he discovered electronic music through a variety of luminaries including Ricardo Villalobos, Derrick Carter, Loco Dice, Craig Richards . Committing himself to life in the music business, Vincent went on to train as a sound engineer - using his spare time to practice on a set of turntables, first in his hometown Tours, then in Paris when he moved there in 1999. Soon after his arrival in the capital Vincent picked up residency at Café Jade, then in “ l’enfer” , becoming a regular face at parties including BPM, French Kiss and Prohibition. He quickly gained a reputation for his ‘bipolar’ music that merges deep emotion with contagious rhythms and invigorating energy. By 2000 the big Parisian clubs recognised his talent and Vincent appeared behind the decks at Badaboum, Nuba, Maxim's, Terrassa, Ziga Zag , La Clairière, Folies Pigalle (Pigallion), Wagg , Batofar and Bataclan among others. He also launched his own party brand, called Shmn, which has helped showcase his ability to curate lineups of his own. He was also made resident at Absinthe in Amsterdam, where he played for four years. Vincent also passed through New York in 2005, bringing his unique vibe to spots like Zouck Cub, 17 Monkeys, Sapphire and Serena Lounge. The international adventure continued across Europe such as Manchester, Brussels, Barcelona, Geneva and Lisbon. One of his most memorable shows took place in Kosovo, at Spray Club, in 2008 celebrating the independence of the state. In 2001 he began to pique the interest of promoters in other countries, taking his own party to Dusseldorf where he lived for a while. In the German city he cultivated a cult following at the Shmn parties, collaborating with his friend Cellar as his resident and establishing his party brand with the Haut&Knochen crew as a key source of forward-thinking house and techno. With his classical training and experience behind the decks, it was only a matter of time before Vincent invested his time in learning how to produce. In 2008 he released his debut ‘Synergy/ Cosmic’ on Robotronic a label owned by DJ F.E.X. Support was widespread and came from a variety of respected tastemakers, including one of the legends of the French scene, Laurent Garnier, Miss Kittin, ItaloBoyz among others. Spurred on by this positive response, Vincent followed up with ‘Caribbean’ on the same label, featuring remixes from Sasse, Andrade and Alejandro Vivanco. His third EP ‘Deep Flow’ was released in 2013 and remixed by F.E.X. Other releases include ‘Retrospectiv’ with Alex Boneti and ‘Skyfall’ on 324 Records. He also dropped ‘Macadam/Obala’ on the New York label Sullivan Room Records, ‘Project Kepler’ on Zikomatik, returning to 324 Records with ‘Random Disco’ and followed that with ‘Monarque’ in 2016 with Julien Lenoir on Future Relics. Over the last few years, Vincent has remained an active participant in the Paris scene, but recently moved to Madrid where he has built a brand new studio ready for action. Inspired by life in the Spanish capital, he is experiencing a reinvigorated sense of purpose and is bursting with creativity. His fellow Parisian Terence :Terry: also lives in Madrid, and the two men have joined forces to set up their own agency - Presence. They will also release his latest track - a remix that will land on Terence’s label La Vie En Rose. Following that, Vincent will drop collaborations with Robert Plankett from Shukuzu (his friend’s crew from Paris), Lelon from Suave, Cosmonection from Pont Neuf Records. Lelon is the artist behind the first EP from Suave, Vincent’s new label. | Issa Maïga (Rôti / Lessizmore) https://soundcloud.com/issa_maiga Groove enthusiast and humorist since 1990. --------------------------------------------------------------------------
