Generally we don't know why, but the fact that the next day is a holiday is a perfectly good explanation for us. Now that I think about it, we probably do it because we like to dance. A good excuse to go out and cut a rug with our pals is never frowned upon, and who doesn't secretly love gettin' a bit gussied-up and fixin' their hair just right? It's a facade of civility, but it's our facade and we done built it.
