We're back at Signal early 2020 for a refreshers week special with Studio Barnhus co-founder, Kornél Kovács, and Wow & Flutter on support.
Raised in Sweden having classical music training from Hungarian parents with diverse music tastes, Kornél Kovács was exposed to early electronic, synth-pop and Hip-hop from the likes of Kraftwerk, Art of Noise and Boogie Down Productions, which led to a love for mid-90s Drum n Bass and earned himself the title of "Stockholm's youngest former jungle DJ" by the age of 14.
More recent years have seen an invitation to Red Bull Music Academy, the formation of the internationally-respected Studio Barnhus label with Axel Boman & Petter Nordkvist, and the release of two critically-acclaimed albums; 'The Bells' and Stockholm Marathon earlier this year. With notable performances at the best festivals and venues around the globe with seven Boiler Room sets flitting between a variety of house, techno, nu-disco, electronic, jazz and lo-fi, Kornél Kovács is one of the most exciting DJs and producers around right now.
Joining him is Sheffield power duo, Wow & Flutter, on an extended warmup to set the tone. Expect bespoke lighting & FX production with world-class sound from Signal's newly installed Void Air Motion rig.
