SCAND is back for our first party of 2020 and we are hyped to be teaming up with one of Europe’s most exciting festivals to celebrate 20 years of the unstoppable Crème Organization.
The Crave is a fairly new addition to the European festival circuit but it has swiftly established itself as one of the best; consistently delivering eye popping line-ups that feature established artists next to the rawest new talent. Previous line ups have featured artists such as Helena Hauff, Levon Vincent, Gesloten Cirkel, DJ Stingray, Animistic Beliefs and the Hessle Audio Trio (Ben UFO, Pearson Sound & Pangaea).
Alongside labels such as Bunker, Clone and Viewlexx, DJ TLR’s Crème Organization has relentlessly waved the flag for the West Coast Sound of Holland. Crème’s eclectic back catalogue boasts a wealth of releases from home-grown Dutch talent such as Legowelt, Orgue Electronique, DJ Overdose and Lake Haze; alongside International artists such as Aux 88, Neville Watson, JTC, Traxx, Marc D’Cantu and Alexander Robotnick. We are honoured to be teaming up with the crew from The Crave to celebrate 20 years of this inspirational label.
Legowelt aka Danny Wolfers is a outrageously prolific artist that boasts a back catalogue of essential releases under various guises on esteemed labels such as L.I.E.S., Clone, Peoples Potential Unlimited, Dekmantel and of course Creme Organization. Never one to be pigeon holed in a particular genre, we are hyped that he will be banging the boxes and performing live under his Gladio alias for us on the night.
Intergalactic Gary has been a massively influential figure in the West Coast Holland scene and he has established himself on the global stage as one of the finest selectors in the game. Alongside I-F, Intergalactic Gary formed one half of the Parallax Corporation and was instrumental in reintroducing Italo disco to the Worlds dance floors. Armed with sets that effortlessly glide across genres, we cannot wait to unleash IG on the room 1 sound system at Corsica.
As Boss Man of Crème Organization, DJ TLR has proved masterful in the art of curating a record label – he is also a ridiculously good DJ! Through his musical endeavours TLR has always waved the flag for the dance freaks with sets spanning Jaking house through to banging electro - we cannot wait to hear what the birthday boy will be busting out for us on the night.
To the residents at Scand Electronome is nothing short of a legend! His releases on Viewlexx and Interr-Ference Communications in the 90’s were instrumental in shaping our love for electro and the wider West Coast Sound. The revival of electro recently saw reissues of his seminal EP’s ‘Music Telex and ‘No Landscapes’ and we urge any self-respecting electro fan to go out and buy them immediately. We seriously cannot wait to welcome one of our heroes to the Scand fold.
Simon Brown aka The Dexorcist has been an integral part of the UK electro scene and a long-time friend of Scand. Over the years The Dexorcist has released on labels such as Control Tower, Super Rhythm Trax and Monotone as well as featuring in the groups, Kronos Device and The Resonance Committee. We are always excited to host the Dexorcist as he is always brings some serious boom!
Rounding things off on the night will be The Crave residents Gamma Intel & 543FF + The Crave chief Cosmox, alongside Scand residents Sync 24 and Steve Allman.
