On Saturday 18th of January we will welcome Ipologica, a musical and artistic collective from Rome specialized in the creation and production of electronic music, multimedia art, a/v and live performances, dj-sets and sound design for installations and videos. In this showcase Pentesilea, Fabio Sestili and Giulio Maresca will take turns on stage mixing acoustic songwriting, electronic pop, minimal and techno. For the occasion we will be accompanied by the visual artists of the collective Corrupted Visions. We have a proven collaboration relationship with them, an empathic bond and an artistic harmony that we strive to merge into an organic result: a show for eyes and ears.

►Pentesilea (Ipologica): Pentesilea (Valentina Mignogna) is performer, singer, writer and composer. She was born in Rome but at the age of 20 she moved to Milan. She graduated in 2010 at the Academy of Dramatic Arts “Paolo Grassi” in Milan and over the years, in addition to her work as an actress, she specializes in music and writing through professional experience as a singer and composer. Pentesilea started collaborating as actress and singer with national productions as LA7, RAI and with international productions as RSI and Polivideo for cinema and television. She also performed in collaboration with Paolo Grassi and SELA Performing Art Studio (Israel) in theater. People saw her performances at La Biennale di Venezia (2016), Live Cinema Festival (2018) and Fotonica (2018). As songwriter, performer and creative manager Pentesilea now collaborates with Ipologica, roman artistical collective focused on electronic music production, a/v live performances, dj-sets and artistic installations. Her instruments, besides the voice, are piano, keyboards and loopstation.
► Fabio Sestili (Ipologica): Fabio Sestili is a musician, sound artist and music technology educator. His musical journey begins with his guitar. He grows up listening different genres of music: 90’s Trip Hop, IDM, Ambient, Jazz, Classical which deeply signed his soul. Fabio was born in Rome in 1983, he started his career as professional dj in 2008. His approach to the music composition combines both technical and creative knowledge in the creation of an unique and recognizable sound. A focus point of his artistic journey is the continuous evolution in different fields of electronic music and contemporary art. The first approach to music starts at the age of 13 with the first classical guitar and in the following years as a guitarist in grunge bands. At the age of 16 he discovers the electronic music production world, mainly with the use of softwares. From that moment he will never leave the magical world that he defines as “the factory of desires”. After high school, fascinated by the infinite possibilities of music technologies, he starts a professional training course on the sound engineering that led him to go deeper into the technical aspects of the creative process. During this training period he meets Giulio Maresca. In 2006 they founded the music platform Ipologica, currently active in music production and professional training projects. In 2009 he meets the artistic duo Quiet Ensemble with whom he starts a collaboration as the sound designer of their works. Thanks to them, Fabio discovers a sector of new technologies that explores the aesthetic and conceptual possibilities deriving from interactivity techniques, working on the relationship between image and sound. His great curiosity leads him to explore different nuances of music. Over the years, he shares the consolle with internationally renowned artists such as Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue), Markus Henriksson, Daniel Bell, Eduardo De La Calle, Leo Anibaldi, Fabrizio Lapiana, Sascha Flux and many more. He refines the ability to focus the selection of music in an effective and engaging way. He delivers to the crowd big emotions as much in chillout contexts as in dancefloor situations. People enjoyed his performances in many clubs of Rome like Animal Social Club, Brancaleone, Warehouse, Qube, ExDogana, Teatro Lo Spazio, Rashomon and several festivals such as MoDem, Ozora, Atlas, Amore, Dissonanze, Spring Attitude, LPM, Day Festival, Short Theatre, Jazz:Re:Found. Over the years he moves his focus to long dj sets where he has the opportunity to probe different areas of electronic music.
► Giulio Maresca (Ipologica): Giulio Maresca emerged in the Roman electronic music scene through different projects. In 2008 he started his own project Ipologica with Fabio Sestili exploring electronic music in all it’s genres from ambient experimental to deeper grooves. Later he focused his work on techno music and he was resident at two of the most important techno events like Glucose and Container Project. He is involved in artistic installations, audio/video performances, solo and group live performance and dj sets, he works as Ableton Live teacher and music composer for video and has experience as radio speaker and editor at Nea Radio (Brancaleone) and Container Radio. His style is refine but powerful, deep and groovy; his solo project is techno oriented but he also collaborates as producer and performer with other artists and groups exploring different genres from electronic pop (Hack) to classical and jazz music (Ramin Bahrami, Martux M, Danilo Rea). As producer released on label such Biorecordings, Naked Lunch, Labrynth, M_Rec Digital, Resiliens, Crs, Codec, and many more and shared the consolle with artists such: Paula Temple, Regis, Donato Dozzy, Sunil Sharpe, AnD, Deetron, Bas Mooy, Dasha Rush, Joey Beltram, The Analogue Cops just to name few.
► Corrupted Visions: Corrupted Visions is an Artistic Hub based on glitch art, data manipulations, cyberpsychedelic visuals. Digital and analog contamination, new media culture.
► Stasis: Stasis is an artistic and curatorial collective that wants to make the organization of events a horizontal practice, merging visual arts and electronic music in order to increase the interaction between the audience, the artists and the organizers.
