Born in Treviso, a small city near Venice, Marco Shuttle has been involved in the local underground club scene since he was 15, initially as a promoter and then as a DJ. After moving to London to earn an MA in Fashion at Central Saint Martins, he became involved in the clubbing scene there, garnering a residency at the legendary Süd Electronic parties, and running his own event, a popular Sunday afternoon/evening session at Cafe 1001. Due to his background in fashion, a primarily visual medium, Marco considers his musical style to be constructed with an aesthetic approach. He has been deeply inspired by Detroit techno and electro, acid house, New York deep house and garage, and electronica. His own productions can be described as very deep and dark and often tend to have strong percussive elements with dry electronic sounds and groovy basslines. Marco's initial releases on Serialism and brut! stood out but he really began his rise to prominence with the 2011 release of "The Vox Attitude" EP on Vidd, which has since become a sought-after classic techno record. In 2012 he caught the techno scenes ears with a stellar 12" on Clone's Store Only Series, and the launch of his own label, Eerie. Marco used the Eerie imprint to release four of his own EPs over 2012-13. These critically acclaimed EPs represent some of his deepest and most challenging music but did not fail to move dance floors worldwide. As a result of the international success of his productions, Marco has been DJing globally with bookings at some of the most prestigious clubs and festivals in the world, including: Labyrinth (Japan), Berghain (Berlin), Fabric (London), The Bunker (New York), Terraforma (Italy), Wave Festival (Amsterdam), Moog (Barcelona), and many more. Marco has since taken up residence in Berlin where he continues to produce for labels such as Peter Van Hoesen's Time to Express, The Bunker New York imprint and Neel and Donato Dozzy's label Spazio Disponibile. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Aaron J: Founder of Sure Thing, a label, event, and mix series dedicated to developing the audience for experimental and boundary-pushing electronic music throughout the US for five years now. The mix series regularly sees contributions from top artists in the deep techno scene. As a performer, Aaron is inspired by the complex conversations that occur between music and emotion on the dance floor, and the way we experience these interactions together. Reflecting upon memories of these conversations, each set leaps between delicately layered moments that are at times expansile, blissful, and propulsive toward an energetic infinity. From the Sure Thing events in Boston, to intimate performances in natural settings like Izvir ~ Formaviva or the upcoming MNMT festival, Aaron takes listeners on a journey through the mind and body. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Jason Patrick: Originally from Detroit and currently based in Chicago, Jason has established himself as a DJ, producer, and label manager of Klectik Records. Timeout Chicago has referred to him as one of the most technical techno DJs in town. Jason plays at many of the top clubs including his residency at Spybar, where he is regularly featured and has provided direct support for top international guests. A sound DJ for over 15 years, Jason has played gigs in NYC, Italy, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and in Berlin at Tresor, Chalet, and Sisyphos. In June of 2010 Patrick was tabbed by the one and only Jeff Mills to open for his Axis Records Presents Something In The Sky event in Detroit. The type of sound you can expect to hear in his sets is a moody hypnotic techno vibe, rich in the classic Detroit spirit. As a producer, Jason has released on Kevin Saunderson’s iconic KMS records, Gynoid Audio, Northern Parallels, and Spades. His tracks have been played by DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Scuba, DJ Hyperactive, and Julia Govor. Together with friend and Klectik artist Pat King, a new vinyl label, Estetika was launched in early 2018 with a streamlined Techno focus.
