- Nyege Nyege is one of the most interesting phenomenons in contemporary music. Thanks to this Ugandan festival and label we can listen to the sound of Eastern Africa: electro acholi, singeli, new and unnamed forms of bass music, but not only! The Katowice leg of the tour features: DJ Diaki from Mali creates his own vision of polyrhythmic dance music, based on loops inspired by balani music, coupé décalé and soukous. Don Zilla is one of the pillars of Kampala’s music community. He’s the studio manager of Boutiq Studios and a producer of original bass music. Support: PLK is a DJ and initiator of Zgrzyt parties in Katowice. She first came in touch with the Nyege collective as recently as three months ago. Shorty after it became evident that Tanzanian gongas and hardstyle claps represent Fibonacci Sequence in a corresponding manner.
