Nyege Nyege is one of the most interesting phenomenons in contemporary music. Thanks to this Ugandan festival and label we can listen to the sound of Eastern Africa: electro acholi, singeli, new and unnamed forms of bass music, but not only! The Warsaw leg of the tour features:
Duma from Kenya, a duo working on the fringes of metal music, blending electronic sounds and noise with grindcore and doom influences.
DJ Diaki from Mali creates his own vision of polyrhythmic dance music, based on loops inspired by balani music, coupé décalé and soukous.
Uganda’s Catu Diosis is a core member of the Nyege Nyege crew, an active journalist, fashion designer, activist and a thrilling DJ known for afro-bass music.
Support: Madikoptah, a DJ focused on bass-heavy, broken sounds from around the world and the web. She's a member of the regime brigade collective.
