Nyege Nyege is one of the most interesting phenomenons in contemporary music. Thanks to this Ugandan festival and label we can listen to the sound of Eastern Africa: electro acholi, singeli, new and unnamed forms of bass music, but not only! The second of two Nyege nights in Kraków features:
Duma from Kenya, a duo working on the fringes of metal music, blending electronic sounds and noise with grindcore and doom influences.
DJ Diaki from Mali creates his own vision of polyrhythmic dance music, based on loops inspired by balani music, coupé décalé and soukous.
Uganda’s Catu Diosis is a core member of the Nyege Nyege crew, an active journalist, fashion designer, activist and a thrilling DJ known for afro-bass music.
Support: Pff, a DJ from regime brigade. Her sets are eclectic and focus on different drumming styles of club music from around the world.
