deviate turns 2 this February! so come celebrate in some deep and dark basslines this winter.
Joining us as headliner with a special DJ and Visuals show is the duo from Helsinki Out of Fuel. The OOF sound is a combination of their influences. Their sound is constantly changing but at the moment you could describe it as a blend of deeper drum'n'bass, hypnotic techno, smoky dub, shoegaze influenced textures spiced with tight percussions, heavy bass and occasionally dirty breakbeats.
Visual arts and films are also a great inspiration for Out Of Fuel. In Deviate they will perform a combined dj/vj set with dark, glitchy, abstract visuals with inspiration from science fiction, urban landscapes and happy accidents which happen with datamoshing, VHS tapes and analog video synthesizers.
Who are we? We are a bass event series launched in Berlin in 2018 to depart from accepted norms in the break-beat dance scene. Emphasis on promoting less known producers and DJ's, under-rated artists, female artists, and encouraging diverse sets without discrimination.
